East Village Fireworks Night just seems to get bigger and better each year, with around 6,500 pyrotechnic enthusiasts arriving on Friday 4th November for a sensational display.

For the third year running Get Living London had put on the event in Victory Park for free, and they succeeded in wowing crowds with a display that set the skies ablaze thanks to the fireworks company that also did the opening ceremony at the London 2012 Olympics.

Ticket holders were also able to enjoy a luminarium, which included lights that changed colour in the wind, fire pits and teapots that spouted shots of fire on command. Thanks to the retailers of East Village noone needed to go hungry or thirsty, with Neighbourhood Pub, Signorelli Bakery, Tina We Salute You, La GelatieraFish House, Dark Horse, Santi, RedYellowBlue, and Mama Lan all offering up a range of hot and cold treats from toasties and prosecco to hot cider and chorizo baps - all of which proved to be a huge hit.

But the main event nonetheless remained the fireworks themselves, with crowds gathered right around the vicinity of Victory Park and residents looking on from rooftops and balconies with the light show, set in time to music from the poignant Hello by Adele, through to the feel-good factor of Firework by Katy Perry, entrancing all onlookers from start to finish.

We're sad that it's over for another year, but thank you to everyone who came to East Village E20 and joined in creating a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere.
