This week seven years ago, East Village was welcoming the first of the 17,000 athletes and officials who lived here during the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Over the eight weeks of sensational sport the Athletes' Village was buzzing. Competing teams would relax in Victory Park next to Victor the Gorilla and share meals in marquees put up on what is now Chobham Manor before heading home for a good night's sleep (or for a post-competition celebration party!)
