Embracing the annual festival of love? Why not head to Zone 2’s East Village for all things romance, or even just to escape to the greenery and get away from it all.

With a range of independent retailers spread throughout the village there’s plenty going on to make East Village your destination whether you’re single or looking to share the day with a loved one.

If wine’s your thing then you can enjoy not only Valentines Day itself, but also the run up to it with Bottle Apostle’s promotion from the 6th February offering any customer spending £40 or more exclusive access to two carefully selected Valentine’s Day wines at a reduced price, including a 2014 Malandes Chablis.

Italy, the homeland of passion, has its own representatives in E20 in the form of Signorelli. The Italian bakery is offering Sunday afternoon bread making places with a glass of prosecco for £45 per person for a three hour class with chief baker Alberto, running from 4-7pm. A rose is included for each lady who attends the class! They will also be offering a Brunch special with a prosecco cocktail for £15 per person, including a brunch of your choice, prosecco and pastry or cake. Book your seat now!

Further down the leafy Portlands you can find Tina, We Salute You. The artsy bar famous for it’s potent cocktails will be celebrating the big day with a Big Gay Quiz from 7.30pm! Drink, eat, answer questions and try to remember why you fell for your partner! All are welcome to join them for the evening.

If you and your partner enjoy working out together then Better Gym East Village is giving you the chance to bring your partner and/or friend for free to the gym for a workout and/or class.

Whether you have a partner or not, you can prepare for Valentines in style at East Village’s very own Beauty Salon Regency Beauty with a bit of pampering.  In the run up to the big day they are offering half price eyebrow thread with a manicure or shellac manicure/pedicure.  Alternatively if you are looking for the perfect gift for your loved one a ‘Regency Beauty Gift Voucher’ as the perfect option for an excellent indulgent experience.

Elsewhere you can celebrate the day (or drown your sorrows!) in East Village’s pub Neighbourhood, buy that perfect gift at Olive Loves Alfie East or enjoy a candlelit dinner at Darkhorse Restaurant or Chinese street food specialists Mama Lan. Live nearby? Then have an evening in with an award winning pizza from Firezza.

So head to East Village this Valentines Day whether it’s for food, drinks, pampering or just to enjoy a romantic walk through the peaceful green spaces and wetlands of E20.
