Theatre of Light at East Village

Theatre of Light

On Saturday 4 November, East Village is set to host a FREE and completely unique ‘Theatre of Light’  event in Victory Park, E20.

The gates will open at 5.30pm and the first 1000 people will be handed a free LED lantern to use during the walk of light. Attendees will be able to join in the amazing light parade through East Village ending back at the event stage in Victory Park.

During the parade, attendees will be accompanied on their journey by an array of LED drummers, poi artists, jugglers and stilt walkers. 

Following a performance by the LED entertainers, an incredible immersive, light and music show will begin. 

Food and drink will be available to buy on the evening from a selection of East Village retailers, where guests can enjoy a selection of winter warmers including pulled pork baps, seasonal pizza, hot chocolate and waffles, spiced cider, toffee apples and homemade soup.

This is a FREE event. No tickets or booking required to attend.

The nearest parking spaces are located in Westfield.

Gates will open at 5.30pm. The event will finish at 7.30pm and all attendees will be asked to leave Victory Park by 8pm.

Food and drink will be served by East Village retailers from 5.30pm and throughout the event. East Village retailers outside the event space will be open as normal.

This event is suitable for all ages.

All children under 18 must be accompanied by an appropriate adult aged 18 or over.

For your safety, and for the safety of event attendees, the following will not be allowed into Victory Park and will be confiscated by a member of security at the entry point:

•           Glass Bottles
•           Alcohol
•           Flares
•           Personal fireworks
•           Sparklers
•           Camping Chairs
 

For your comfort, please remember to come prepared for the cold weather. We recommend you bring warm and waterproof clothing and sensible footwear.

This event is wheelchair accessible. An allocated area on the path in Victory Park will be available for wheelchair users to view the show.

The event will involve flashing lights and music. No strobe lighting will be used during the event.

The event will operate a licensed bar and you need to be over the age of 18 to purchase alcohol at the event. Please be aware that if stand staff think that you look 25 years or younger, you may be asked to provide proof of identification. If you are unable to do so you will not be served alcohol.

By attending the event you consent to be filmed and/or photographed at the event. You give your permission for your images to be used by Get Living London and/or its associated agencies and companies without further compensation for promotional purposes which may include social media sites.

Random bag searches will be in operation during the event to ensure the safety of all who attend.

Failure to comply with direction from event staff may result in you being refused entry, or you being required to leave the event.
