Speed Down The Snow Slide at East Village
Opens 15 Dec
Posted: 06.Dec.2017
What we have learned from last week’s first snowfall of the year, is that Londoners are again dreaming of a white Christmas. But now their dreams can come true, with a real snow slide coming to E20!
While Britain’s temperatures are set to plummet, and Christmas is nearly upon us, East Village’s Victory Park is getting ready to transform into an Alpine Adventureland for two days only, on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 December 2017 from 12.000 – 20.00 or while the snow lasts.
Tonnes of real snow will settle for a few days on Victory Park down to Victory Parade - shaped for optimal speed and enjoyment, you are invited to speed down the snowy hill where the 25 meters slide will be free *unticketed to ride. Grab a rubber ring and allow the adrenaline pumping excitement to come out at the Snow Slide.
If you are in the spirit of festive giving, we are welcoming voluntary donations to the East End Community Foundation (EECF) Newham Giving fund, an initiative which supports local grassroots organisations that support families with activities for children during the school holidays.
But the fun does not stop down the slide! Warm up with a delicious hot chocolate or festive snack from one of the many retailers around East Village. And for those who like it cosy, head to one of the East Village’s cafes, such as Hand Café or Signorelli, who will be serving seasonal food and drinks.
And if you are looking to take a little bit of the East Village festive home, Ted’s Veg has a great selection of Christmas trees and decorations, and Signorelli will be selling a special chocolate brownie Christmas tree over the coming festive period.
