The Sir Ludwig Guttmann Health and Wellbeing Centre, which serves the residents of East Village, has been recognised at the Civic Trust Awards, hosted at The Globe Theatre on 6 March 2015.
The awards are given to projects that make an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the environment. With dramatic architecture by Penroye and Prasad, the Centre has always been a crucial part of East Village both from a healthcare perspective and also through delivering benefits to the growing East Village neighbourhood.
The Centre is a modern, accessible and environmentally-friendly health centre designed to provide innovative healthcare, wellbeing and community services in E20 – London’s newest neighbourhood. It is one of the UK’s biggest NHS non-hospital buildings providing GP and healthcare services, a late-opening pharmacy and space for community use.
