One of our best loved retailers in East Village is growing, with a new pop-up shop dedicated to bread!

The Bread Shop, located on West Park Walk, will serve Signorelli’s signature baguettes, sourdough loaves, ciabattas and focaccia pizza.

To celebrate the opening, the owners, husband and wife team Alberto and Rebecca, will also be putting on a Royal wedding party. Locals can watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day live while enjoying a glass of Prosecco and Royal red, blue and white cupcakes on Saturday 19th May from 11am to 3pm.

The bakery which first opened its door in August 2015 is known for its handmade selection of breads, pastries and cakes which use traditional methods and forgotten flours.

Alberto Rosmini of Signorelli says: “Since opening our very first café at East Village, E20, almost three years ago the smell of our freshly baked breads has continued to draw in the crowds. The opportunity to provide a pop-up devoted to our favourite menu item to share with customers is something we are very excited about.”

Signorelli uses a slow fermentation process in its bread-making, allowing the dough to rise slowly over 36 hours, to produce more digestible sourdough, ciabatta and focaccia breads.

Rebecca Rosmini adds: “On West Park Walk we are ideally located for East Village residents who can pop in on their way to and from work and choose from a selection of artisan breads made right here in E20 to have with dinner or as the perfect accompaniment for a charcuterie board. With gluten and dairy free options available there is something for everyone and in all our recipes we strive to reduce excess butter, sugar and salt without taking away the fantastic flavours of our chosen wheats.

“Those who are able to join us on Saturday are invited make a toast to the happy couple with a glass of Prosecco!”

Charlotte Fletcher, Get Living’s General Manager at East Village adds: “The opening of Signorelli’s second space is a real success story for East Village which continues to attract new and exciting retailers. At Get Living we believe pop-ups are a great way of bringing something fresh to our residents and visitors while giving our tenants the opportunity to trial a new offering. We hope the East Village community will continue to support Alberto and Rebecca and their business growth.”

The Bread Shop by Signorelli is open 7 days a week from 7.30am to 7pm. For more information visit www.signorelli.co.uk.
