ShareEast comes to East Village

ShareEast – an exciting new initiative which brings together neighbourhood communities, encouraging members to share skills and pool knowledge – has arrived in East Village. Members of the scheme can exchange sessions with one another, using a currency which measures time to swap favours, skills and knowledge.

With ShareEast, one hour is worth one ‘Echo’. Helping with a neighbour’s gardening could gain you the chance to learn German; or why not paint a bathroom in exchange for tennis coaching. Just about anything can be shared – from picking up shopping, teaching jewellery making, Zumba classes and basic web design to gardening or mending a bike.

Now supported by Get Living London, membership is open to those aged 18 and over in and around East Village, Stratford and Hackney Wick.

To launch ShareEast, a series of free taster sessions has been set up in East Village. For more information, or to sign up, click here.
