To celebrate the birth of London's newest neighbourhood, we created a breathtaking East Village Show Garden for the 2013 Centenary RHS Chelsea Flower Show - winning a gold medal in the process!

Designed by Michael Balston and Marie-Louise Agius of Balston Agius, our garden brought a flavour of East London to the West. The Show Garden took inspiration directly from the form, history and ethos of East Village, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the surrounding Lea Valley area.

Now that the show is over, we are working with Groundwork - a national environmental regeneration charity, to relocate many of the show garden's plants and structures to Arc in the Park in the London Borough of Newham, an adventure playground for children between the years of 5 and 14. The works and new materials will not only create an amazing green space for the local community but will be delivered by Groundwork Green Teams; training programmes for unemployed people from the local area.
