Nestled at the heart of Stratford’s cultural quarter, the arts centre is a destination for local families and the Circlet’s programme offers diverse and high quality theatre for young Londoners all year round. With the support of East Village, the spring/summer programme included every pre-schoolers favourite CBeebies duo – Andy and Mike, with their Tick Tock Time Machine. Children of all ages could enjoy the vibrant and surprising show Flown, which mixes comedy and chaos with bold physical theatre and an eclectic live sound-scape.

Based on the award-winning book by Helen Ward and with beautiful illustrations by Marc Craste, the programme will also showcased Varmints – a children’s dance theatre show telling the poignant tale of one small creature’s struggle to preserve a world in danger of being lost forever. This show included a family day of workshops and activities and interactive ‘behind the scenes’ experiences. Family workshops also formed part of the show Rubbish – a visually stunning and playful production, exploring the unexpected value of discarded objects, from the outstanding children’s company, Theatre Rites.
